The 12th Conference Towards Autonomous Robotic Systems Sheffield UK, 31 Aug - 2 Sep 2011

Paper Submission

Online submission system is active (26 Jan, 2011):

You can access the system by clicking on this link to the online submission system.

For the submission you are required to use the templates as provided by Springer LNCS: you can download and use either the word 97-2003 or LaTeX 2e templates.

  • Full papers will be accepted for either oral presentation or poster presentation.

  • Extended abstracts will be accepted for poster presentation only.

Submission Instructions

TAROS 2011 invites both full papers (up to 12 pages, LNCS format) and extended abstracts (2 pages, LNCS format). Full papers are invited from researchers at any stage in their career but should present significant findings and advances in robotics research; more preliminary work would be better suited to extended abstract submission. All contributions will be fully refereed by at least three members of the programme committee.

Poster Sessions

The format of a poster is A1, Landscape, and any template could be used. For a poster teaser the TAROS 2011 template should be used. The template has been sent to each participant that would present a poster during TAROS 2011.

  • Full papers will be accepted for either oral presentation or poster presentation.

  • Extended abstracts will be accepted for poster presentation only.

Procedure

All submitted papers must be written in English and formatted according to the LNCS Springer style. Please read the LNCS Authors' Instructions. Authors must not change the default font or font size of the LNCS style. Papers that do not adhere to the LNCS style will be rejected.

By March 25, 2011 at 23:59 PTC, authors are expected to submit their manuscript in PDF or DOC format.

All submitted papers will be peer reviewed on the basis of relevance, significance, technical soundness, novelty, implementation/working system, and clarity.

By May 11, authors will be notified of whether or not their paper has been accepted.

If a full paper submission is not accepted as a full paper, it may still be accepted as an extended abstract. In such cases the authors will be asked to reduce the length of the submitted paper accordingly. Extended abstract submissions may only be accepted as extended abstract.

The authors of all accepted papers are required to improve their papers on the basis of the reviewers' comments.

By May 27, in order for their paper to get included in the proceedings, authors of accepted papers are required to:

  1. provide the camera-ready copy in PDF format and all LaTeX/DOC source files needed for obtaining the final version of their paper.
  2. register for the TAROS 2011 conference. For every paper at least one author must have registered.
  3. send us the signed Springer's copyright form. The copyright form should be emailed to programme@taros.org.uk or faxed to +44 114 2225683.

All papers must adhere to the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science style and format. Please consult the Springer LNCS author pages for details.
